Dental Trauma
Dental trauma can be a scary experience for your child. Follow this handy guide produced by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry to be ready in case of an emergency.
Always be prepared
Kids love adventure, but accidents can happen along the way. Our office is always there for your child. Dr. Cat lives nearby our office and is always on-call. If dental trauma occurs, or if your child is experiencing pain or infection, call our office at 256-398-6502 during business hours. If it is after hours leave a voicemail or text and Dr. Cat will respond as soon as possible.
To help your family be prepared for when dental trauma occurs the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has created an easy-to-follow guide that you can print off and place on a fridge or bulletin board. Now you’re ready should a tooth be knocked out or chipped!
Injuries occur more frequently as children participate in organized sports. A properly fitting mouthguard is an important part of your child’s athletic gear. Mouthguards help protect not only teeth, but your child’s jaw, tongue, and face.
